If you are not able to select the microphone in the ARC Genesis software, you likely need to check the privacy settings on your device to ensure the Desktop applications have access to the Microphone.

If this is enabled, there may be a USB driver related issue which can typically be resolved by uninstalling the microphone driver, disconnecting the microphone, and reconnecting the microphone to allow the driver installer to initiate automatically.

If this does not resolve the issue you may want to try a different USB cable, otherwise it would be best to contact your dealer for further advisory.

If you are using a Dell, Acer, Lenovo or HP laptop running Windows with Intel Audio and you are unable to see the microphone in ARC Genesis but can see the microphone as an audio device you will need to check your laptop’s drivers for Intel Smart Sound Technology for USB Audio and disable this driver temporarily.

For most systems, these drivers can be found under Device Manager > System Devices
Look for:

Intel Smart Sound Technology (Intel® SST) OED
Intel Smart Sound Technology (Intel® SST) Audio Controller  *
*Newer devices on Windows 11 may not have this specific driver, if so, you only need to disable Intel SST OED.

Once you disable these drivers, please also disconnect the microphone. From here, restart your laptop and reconnect the microphone to your laptop, ARC Genesis should now see the microphone.

IMPORTANT:
Please remember to re-enable these drivers once you have completed the ARC Genesis calibration, otherwise your laptop speakers may not play any audio.
